This is Vishal’s story. A graduate from Delhi University, he came to the capital almost eight years ago.
“Delhi was merely one of the many possible cities I ended up living in after school. I never planned on it. The only thing certain was that I had to leave Indore after school. It wasn’t that Indore was a bad place. No, not at all. It was my own house I wanted to get out of. My performance in Class 12th board exams led me here, to fulfil the dreams I never had. Sometimes I try and think about that one…
It had been raining incessantly since two nights now. The thunderstorms had neutralised the sound of domestic disagreements that occurred inside Radhika’s home in the last 48 hours.
Radhika had been living with her husband of six years in their smallish 2BHK apartment on DP Road, Pune. An old society that housed old people ended up being their first place together after marriage. Tonight, as Radhika stood in the balcony (her favourite place in the house), she couldn’t help but notice how, she too, like her society building had become an old soul. Cracks, that had appeared whilst withstanding the…
Weren’t we all just kids yesterday,
and now look at us all adults.
So sure about the world we live in,
full of opinions,
becoming into our own cult.
Open to falling we were before
now straight as a stick we walk
we apparently have seen the worst of waves
And then arrived at the shore, or so we thought.
Recipe for making an adult?
From who was an unassuming kid before.
Reflection of the decisions past
or our undying urge to believe in something.
Yes, it is what has led to this result.
We those who heard symphonies before

I have focussed on K-12 segment in this article. I will write about Higher Education (Career Guidance, Mentorship, College Discovery), Online Learning (Targeting college students and professionals) in upcoming parts.
During the unveiling of Budget 2018, Finance Minister Arun Jaitley said during the speech, the government is aiming to increase digital intensity in education and “will gradually move from Blackboard to digital board”. Following this investment of $15.6 Billion in research and related infrastructure in premier educational institutions named RISE (Revitalising Infrastructure and Systems in Education ) were announced for next 4 years.
Throughout the history of our existence on this planet, humans have moved towards higher efficiency.
A lot of innovations that have happened, have happened to attain enough room to create even more. Time has become the most valuable asset, so much so, that billions of dollars are being spent to have infinite of it per human.
I was recently at the UX India Conference in Hyderabad where I got exposed to various ideas around the topic of ‘Design Systems’. I have covered most of them in this article.
Startups across the world are working on building their own design systems…
This tunnel has two ends,
One lies ahead and one left behind, right on the other end.
In the past lies what went, ahead seems to be a silhouette of a friend.
Tunnel is dark, yes.
Sometimes it bends,
Giving a illusion that where I am going is a dead end,
Thinking, I might get scared and run back to where I came from.
But I keep moving, to be enough on my own.
I won’t be whole, voices from the other end of the tunnel keep shouting.
This voice is not mine, it is the world that has lent.
One of my favourite things to do in life is to sit in nice cafeterias and observe people.
Over years, I have developed it into an art. I arrive silently like a random dude and occupy the corner chair, one that gives me a panoramic view of the beautiful cacophony modern day coffee places are.
Onlookers might think of me as one of those ‘young hustlers’ who invariably do not know what the hustle’s about, or, one of the 1 trillion coders who are migrating in the said number to coffee shops to ship the next big thing.
Pogi Inc. is a US based HR tech firm that is building a platform to help companies discover talent and vice versa.
a) The design at Pogi is being supervised entirely by another UI designer and me.
b) We are responsible for complete UI UX design of two of our products : 1) The Employer App 2) The candidate App.
c) Our latest assignment here gave me an exposure to define a complete Design System for our company.
It is not possible to share the entirety of our work at Pogi at this point of time, as we are close…
We had a successful exit for this company.
After almost 18 months of trying to build something of our own and countless failures, we built Leapwired.
Leapwired was a telephonic and chat based consultation platform where students could connect to mentors from their dream college and ask anything relevant to their educational dreams.
My role here was that of a Product Manager. More than the specific design aspect of this product, I was involved predominantly in talking to end users, deciding what to build, working closely with marketers and developers to ensure the right stuff gets built.
I ran this company for 12 months before we decided we had to move to more challenging stuff that helps us improve our skill set even further. It was a great ride nonetheless where I worked with 7 other team members to build digital solutions for businesses.
Our UI UX Design brochure should give you a good idea about the kind of work we did at Arc Mavens.
